MISSION To enrich and improve the quality of life of Boston's Asian American community and for residents of Boston's Chinatown, South End, and South Cove neighborhoods by providing bilingual education, child care, cultural, social, youth and recreational programs. DESCRIPTION Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC) provides bilingual (Cantonese/English) education, child care, cultural, social, youth and recreational programs to the Asian American, primarily Chinese-American, community. BCNC is Boston's only two-way bilingual preschool in Cantonese-English, the only licensed after-school program in Chinatown, and the only Adult Education program which offers basic ESOL instruction at no cost for recently arrived adults. Programs are housed at Boston's only LEED-certified, environmentally friendly community center located at 38 Ash Street. IMPACT BCNC is the largest human service agency to serve the Asian American community in Boston, serving over 4,000 individuals per year. www.bcnc.net
