Allies for Immigrants: ESOL Corps Training (Conversation)
About the Allies for Immigrants: ESOL Corps Corps volunteers are a part of a network of volunteers who share a passion for enhancing English skills for adult learners. Volunteers serve as classroom support, help students prepare for the TOEFL exams, and serve as conversation group leaders, classroom facilitators, and help students prepare for the TOEFL exams. Corps volunteers deepen their community engagement by committing to serve twice a month through the Corps and attending skill building opportunities. All ESOL (Classroom & Conversation) Corps Volunteers will need to complete and pass a CORI Background check.
Allies for Immigrants: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Corps
a partnership with English for New Bostonians, supported by the Cummings Foundation
Join us for a 3-hour interactive workshop on best practices helping adult ESOL learners to strengthen their language skills and build their confidence communicating in their everyday lives, at school, and at work. This workshop is appropriate for novices as well as experienced tutors wishing to update their skills. Come ready to actively participate! This training is open to both existing Corps members and individuals who are interested in learning more about the ESOL Corps program!
