Fill Book Requests from Incarcerated Readers at Prison Book Program
Prison Book Program responds to mail from incarcerated people in all 50 states by selecting and sending free books that meet their specific needs and interests. PBP believes that everyone has a right to read, and that books are tremendous sources of enlightenment, enjoyment, and transformation. We also strive to lessen the dehumanization and isolation of incarceration by providing our readers with a connection to a community of caring people.
Volunteers will select books to match requests, package books for mailing, sort donated books, or do other tasks related to processing prisoner requests and book donations. Attention to detail is a very important component of this project!
