Distribute Food at East End House Pantry
About the East End House Pantry: The East End House Community Food Pantry serves residents of East Cambridge and surrounding neighborhoods, They support over 300 families per month by offering healthy, fresh, and shelf-stable foods in a dignified setting. By increasing access to good food, they promote the flourishing and achievement of children from low-income families. They receive most of their food from the Greater Boston Food Bank, Food for Free, Lovin' Spoonfuls and Food Link. In addition, they receive donations from local food drives and individuals in the community.
Address of Volunteer Opportunity: 105 Spring Street Cambridge, MA 02141
Volunteer Snapshot: Volunteers set up and clean the pantry, receive weekly food deliveries, and assist clients as they choose their own groceries from East End House’s available fresh produce and shelf-stable foods. After the pantry is over, volunteers also help set-up grocery bags for senior citizens and families enrolled in East End House daily programming.
