| Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Service: A Day ON, not a Day OFF |
Agency: Boys & Girls Clubs of Middlesex County, Inc
Description:
Boston Cares and the Somerville Boys & Girls Club present a volunteer extravaganza on Monday, January 19, 2009. There will be multiple projects throughout the building and volunteers will have the opportunity to make various items to be donated to various non-profit agencies including tooth care kits for Friday Night Supper Program, cat toys for the MSCPA, fleece blankets for Welcome Baby and much more.
After a short opening keynote speaker, participants can spend as much time as they like at a station or make a goal to visit all stations. It's up to you! At the end of the day, all completed items will be donated to partner organizations.
