Thanksgiving Basket Distribution at the East End House
For over a century, East End House has provided Thanksgiving baskets to our community's under-resourced residents, helping them to have a healthy and festive holiday season through the annual Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway. Last year, we provided over 4,500 individuals with ingredients to prepare a healthy Thanksgiving Day meal, a testament to the deep generosity of our community, as well as its profound need. This year we hope to extend our support to even more members of the community and for that, we need your help!
The Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway takes place on November 20th from 9:00am-5:00pm, when the distribution of baskets begins to families that are part of the EEH core, youth-centered programs, and the community. Volunteers will be stationed in the gym and will assist giving out the baskets when families come and sign-out. Meet the families all our hard work is for!
This is an active project! Volunteers should be able to comfortably lift 20-50lbs.
